Jennifer Lawrence on Juggling Schedules as an Actress: 'I'm Aging Like A President'
Being the highest paid actress in Hollywood entails so much work that Jennifer Lawrence said her busy schedule as an actress is aging her "like a president."
After she was catapulted to fame when she played Katnis Everdeen in the movie "Hunger Games," Lawrence received roles left and right. And while it was a good thing to be in 12 movies in just a span of two years, these opportunities have already taken a toll on the award-winning actress.
During a press conference for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" in Los Angeles, People reports that the 25-year-old actress may have said her busy schedule is making her go bonkers but she still appreciates having that kind of lifestyle.
"I try to keep working so people can see other characters and other things I can do instead of taking vacation time and now I'm aging like a president," Lawrence told the reporters. "I hate waking up without a goal or going to sleep without achieving nothing."
The actress also explained that working herself to the limits has been a way for her to avoid being "crazy," as it helps her in overcoming the overwhelming life that megastardom brings.
"I remember there have been a few times where I would have loved time off," she said. "But I was very aware of how overwhelming these movies and this character was and that was a big fear of mine signing on to these movies."
With her exemplary skills in acting and with plentiful movies that were included under her belt in just a short span of years since she entered Hollywood, these achievements have made her one of the most bankable actress in the business. However, it also entails great responsibility, as she is expected to soar higher than ever as the years pass.
Following her fame as Katniss Everdeen, Entertainment Weekly reports that the actress embarked on different characters in movies like "Silver Linings Playbook," which helped her earn an Academy award, "American Hustle," the controversial movie that she recently referred to in her feminist essay published in Lenny. Lawrence is also set to conquer the silver screen anytime soon, as she worked on her new movie, "Joy," which will be released this year.
