Real Madrid vs. PSG Champions League 2015: Stream, Preview, Predictions, Lineup, Schedule
James Rodríguez will make his big return on Tuesday when Real Madrid meets Paris Saint-Germain.
The Colombian superstar is going to be included in the match day squad according to coach Rafa Benítez.
"I spoke with James this morning and he says that he is ready to play. There's no problem," the coach said during a press conference. "James will play tomorrow. If Colombia call him up he'll go. The only thing I hope is that he scores a lot of goals and comes back fit."
It would be a tremendous boost for Los Blancos, who have gotten by all season without a defeat in any competition, but have floundered at times offensively without a truly creative attacker.
Rodríguez was on fire before going down with an injury in a friendly against Peru. Before that, he scored two goals -- both in flashy fashion -- in a win over Real Betis and was creating one brilliant chance after another.
Without him, Madrid's attack has featured Isco, Jesé Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo, with a bit of help from Lucas Vazquez. Ronaldo has been wasteful, despite getting decent service, but he might get even better opportunities to score with Rodríguez in the mix.
Moreover, Rodríguez himself might be able to provide the scoring touch that has been missing. He scored 17 goals for Los Blancos a year ago, and many expected him to score upwards of 20 in his sophomore campaign.
That no longer looks possible after the prolonged injury, but he could still provide 10 goals in all competitions and 10 assists over the balance of the year. That would be considered a big success for the superstar.
Ronaldo has scored five of Madrid's six goals in the Champions League and will need to continue scoring to help his team against a solid opponent. PSG and Madrid battled to a 0-0 draw in their last game, and this match could define which team walks away with the group crown in a month's time.
Prediction: Madrid wins 2-0.
Start Time: 2: 45 p.m. ET
The game can be viewed on ESPN Deportes TV or via Fox Soccer 2 Go.
