Actress Nina Dobrev showed off what she would look like with short blond hair on Instagram on Tuesday while filming her latest film in Canada.

According to Variety, the role is for a romantic comedy called "Crash Pad," which will also star Domhnall Gleeson, Christina Applegate and Thomas Haden Church.

Dobrev shared a photo of herself wearing a blond wig and revealed that she was on set during a late night shoot for the film.

"Prettttty sure I look better in Domhnall Gleesons hair than he does. And I clearly have more down time on set than he does," Dobrev captioned the photo.

On Oct. 17, while at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in Los Angeles, the 26-year-old star revealed that she would be making hair-related changes for her next film role, reported InStyle.

"I'm going to be cutting my hair for my next role," she said. "I'm doing a movie that I haven't announced yet, so I can't talk about it, but we're going to be cutting my hair for that."

While the photo may not be the look Dobrev was talking about, it did get fans talking about how the actress would look with a change of hairdo.

The actress was also spotted with a short hairdo in a photo with actress Anne Hathaway on Halloween. However, the star didn't reveal whether she was wearing a wig or if she was sporting her new look.

Dobrev has been keeping busy since ending her role as Elena Gilbert on "The Vampire Diaries." Besides "Crash Pad," the actress appeared in the movie "The Final Girls" and signed on to play a role in "Arrivals."

Speaking with Interview Magazine, the actress explained that she has had several film offers, but has specific criteria for future roles.

"I want to do things where the talent range is difficult and that scare me. I thrive on that; if it's not scaring me then I'm not growing," she said. "I'd rather wait for something really good -- to be excited about a role, or a director, or a project. I'm not just going to accept something because it's a lot of money."
