Mortal Kombat X News: Mods Bring Klassic Goro and Noob Saibot Skins Into MKX
Mortal Kombat X will soon get at least four new playable characters through downloadable content (DLC). In order to pass the time, PC gamers have developed some mods to get some klassic characters into the game.
By downloading two small files, PC players of Mortal Kombat X will be able to play as Goro from the original Mortal Kombat game and Noob Saibot, Design and Trend reports.
YouTube user Dynasty showed off these two mods that bring the characters into the game. The files were posted on the Mortal Kombat Secrets forums a while back, but Dynasty's YouTube video has now made them more visible with over 34,000 views.
The Goro character is remade to make him look just like he did in the original Mortal Kombat way back in 1992. He has his white shin guards, his red ribbon and Yin Yang design that he wore back then. The mod is just for looks and does not make Goro any different in the game. This means he will have the same skills, talent and moves that he does without being modified.
The Noob Saibot character is actually a change to Sub-Zero's Blue Steel skin. The mod alters the Blue Steel skin of Sub-Zero and turns it into a black shadow to make it look just like Noob Saibot. In reality, this is still Sub-Zero, but his appearance has been altered to make him look like Noob Saibot. The mod looks believable though since Noob Saibot was modeled after Sub-Zero when he made his first appearance in Mortal Kombat II.
These mods will only work with the PC version of the game and not for the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 versions.
Mortal Kombat X has confirmed that it will debut a second Kombat Pack that will include four additional DLC characters. The first Kombat Pack was successful and Mortal Kombat X players have asked for a second Kombat Pack to follow it.
