Guillermo del Toro may not have announced his next film but he wants to work with video game creator Hideo Kojima.

The director confirmed his wish on Twitter when he wrote, “I would work with him anytime, anywhere on anything.”

The two have previously worked together on “P.T.”, the playable teaser which was released in August 2014. The teaser was for the prologue/demonstration of “Silent Hills.” However, the project was later cancelled by Konami after the quarrel with Kojima.

With video game adaptations constantly being produced by Hollywood, perhaps the two will find a project to work on. Additionally for years there has been speculation of a “Metal Gear Solid” film that has yet to be produced. Perhaps the two will team up to do the film or another “Silent Hill.” It could also be possible that the two work together on a video game, especially with Del Toro working on so many different types of projects.

Del Toro has been in the press of late promoting his film “Crimson Peak,” the gothic romance starring Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska. While the film flopped at the box office only making $28 million, it scored positive reviews.

Del Toro is best known for his work on films such as “Pacific Rim,” “Hellboy” and “Blade Two.” He directed the Oscar winning feature “Pan’s Labyrinth” as well as “The Devil’s Backbone,” “Mimic” and “Cronos.”

Kojima is the creator of the “Metal Gear” franchise, “Snatcher” and “Zone of Enders.” Recently he has been in the press as Konami shut down his production studio in L.A. The reason for the shutdown was because the product development resources would be restructured into a more centralized unit. It also came a few days after it was reported that creator had left the company.
