BlackBerry has been a business of their own before they decided to adopt Android in their latest flagship phone, the BlackBerry Priv. Perhaps, the tech company's most valuable promise to their consumers is the kind of security they can provide for the handset.

In a recent post on the BlackBerry Blog, the company acknowledged the complex nature of the Android OS, and that's why the once famed BlackBerry brand is pulling all stops to make sure that the phone's security features are up-to-date. BlackBerry has a history of delivering excellent security measures to its devices, and this shouldn't come as a difficult task for the brand.

Some of the key solutions they have initiated in terms of security include a monthly update on the Android's security features. Google will be responsible in transmitting any possible threats to BlackBerry; in return, the mobile brand will configure bugs and fixes to intercept such issues.

BlackBerry also pushes the Hotfix update. Through this, the BlackBerry Priv will receive pushed updates, which is something that is mandatorily inputted in the system to stop security threats that can't wait for another month to get fixed.

TechRadar also reports that these updates will be distributed for free and will come in the form of over-the-air updates. The BlackBerry Priv has not been made available to its consumers, but it looks like Blackberry is taking its security more serious than anyone could have expected.

Know Your Mobile featured the announcement of BlackBerry Priv, which can now be acquired through a pre-order process in the U.K. BlackBerry Priv will be the first of the brand that will utilize Android. It will be available at £579.99 without its lock-in carrier or for a monthly fee of £39 with an initial payment of £59.

Looking back, the brand held for years their own BlackBerry OS software that they used on all of their previous devices. This made the brand different from others, with the additional recognition of having one of the most secured software for mobile.

Now, the BlackBerry brand has transformed by adopting Android in a bid to revive their market place and dwindling presence in the tech world.

The BlackBerry Priv will hit the market on Nov. 9. Will you be one of the users who will try the BlackBerry Priv? What's your take on their partnership with Android?
