HTC vs Apple: HTC One A9's New Ad Literally Kicks Apple
HTC took a shot on the Apple brand after it kicked Apples in its recent promotional ad.
TechTimes reported that HTCs promotion of its One A9 didn't hold back when it comes to targeting what they consider as their number one competitor, the Apple brand. For those who are keen observers of both brand, the advertisement is saying to let go of the giant tech brand and try HTC's One A9. Where it says it all, a portion of the ad also shows a man literally kicking apples neatly piled on the table.
HTC's spoof on Apple's ad in 1983 is a mere rip-off, and while the latter's ad is still known as one of the best commercials ever produced, HTCs version is just a mere contention of the two brand's current stand on the tech market today.
If anything else, the advertisement is quite a bold move from HTC taking a direct hit on a huge company that has learned to build its core business strategies based on what consumers really like and use. While the advertisement largely raised curiosity among consumers and has led others to check out HTC's One A9, the device, on the other hand, proved to be less than what people expected of it.
The Verge recently released their own review of the HTC One A9, and their take on the said device has been far from encouraging. The HTC One A9 has failed its consumers, and it would be impossible to not believe HTC felt it too. Apparently, the device's camera feature has been nothing but a putdown, considering how they carefully created everything to cater to the consumers' needs. The Verge implied that the phone's development seems like it has been in a rush. HTC's signature aluminum body, which users have learned to love from the Chinese brand, has now been replaced by an obvious take on the latest iPhone designs.
Some other key features were also missing such as the BoomSound stereo speakers, which are usually located on the front of the phone, as well as the curve rear design.
Basically, according to The Verge, the HTC One A9 has transformed into a blunt and copied device instead of maintaining its unique and equally competitive original design.
