‘Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’ PC System Requirements Revealed, Ubisoft Talks How ‘Unity’ Affected Game Sales
"Assassin's Creed Syndicate" has made its waves in the consoles, but PC gamers are still waiting for the release of the action-adventure game on their platform. Now, the players can gear up for the launch as the PC requirements were unveiled to the public.
In a report on the Ubisoft blog, the developer revealed the necessary PC specifications, so players would be able to prepare for the upcoming launch of "Assassin's Creed Syndicate."
PC requirements include the following: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 and DirectX June 2010 Redistributable.
At a minimum, CPU should be Intel Core i5 2400s @ 2.5 GHz or AMD FX 6350 @ 3.9 GHz, video should be Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 270 (2GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0), a sound card should be DirectX compatible with latest drivers as well as available RAM of at least 6GB.
However, players who want to maximize the game experience are recommended to have the following PC specs: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 (4GB) or the newer GTX 970 (4GB) or AMD Radeon R9 280X (3GB) or better, DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card with latest drivers, 8GB of RAM and 50GB of free space in the hard drive.
In the official blog, Ubisoft also included the following technical note: "For a recommended experience, the game requires a video card with at least 3GB of VRAM when playing at a full HD resolution. While we encourage you to fiddle with the advanced options to fully customize your gaming experience, please keep an eye out for the VRAM meter usage when you adjust these settings."
While Ubisoft worked hard for the development of "Assassin's Creed Syndicate," a report from Eurogamer revealed that the executives believe the sales of the upcoming game in consoles were negatively affected by its underwhelming and problematic predecessor.
"Clearly in our first week we were impacted by what happened with Assassin's Creed Unity," Ubisoft executive Alain Martinez admitted during an investor call.
Still, second-week sales of the game fare well for the future of the new game and Martinez concluded that there's still a chance it could beat "Unity" sales.
"We seem to experience the same sales curve as ['Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag']," Ubisoft head Yves Guillemot added in the report from Eurogamer. "Versus 'Unity', 'Syndicate' was down in the first week but nicely outperformed it in its second week as it benefitted from positive word of mouth."
"Assassin's Creed Syndicate" for PC will drop on Nov. 19.
