'The Good Wife' Season 7 Episode 6 Spoilers: Eli Devises a Plot to Take Down Peter and Alicia [Videos]
Eli (Alan Cumming) will devise a conniving plot in effort to take down Peter in the next episode of "The Good Wife."
In Sunday's episode, which is titled "Lies," Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) will represent a lawyer that used to work for a technology firm before she was fired after failing a lie detector test.
The synopsis also reveals that Eli will devise a scheme to hurt Peter's presidential bid, and may hurt Alicia as well.
"Alicia and Lucca defend a client who was fired from a technology firm for failing a polygraph test. Also, Eli plots to leak something that would damage Peter's presidential campaign but could inadvertently hurt Alicia," reads the synopsis, according to CarterMatt.
In a sneak peek video, Eli tells Alicia that Peter really wants to be president rather than just vice president. However, during their conversation, Alicia realizes that Eli is up to something fishy.
"What are you doing Eli? This doesn't sound like you," she tells the campaign expert. "You're scheming something here."
Meanwhile, the trailer video hints that Eli's goal is to put both Peter and Alicia beneath. In one clip, Eli is seen sharing a meal with the former's campaign operative Ruth Eastman's (Margo Martindale), which could be another part of his plan.
"We could win," Ruth tells him. "We need to work together Eli," she adds.
Another teaser video shows Cary (Matt Czuchry), Howard Lyman (Jeffry Adler), David Lee (Zach Grenier) and Diane (Christine Baranski) debating over who to hire. Howard and Diane seem to want to hire an African American woman in order to diversify their firm, but Cary and David think the woman is unqualified.
Episode 4 of Season 7 of "The Good Wife," "Lies," airs on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
