Vin Diesel has always been generous in interacting directly with his fans via social media and his latest update brings news of two of the star's most famous current franchises: "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" and "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage."

"This weekend I was blessed with three great new scripts," Diesel said in a Facebook video, obviously in a great mood with his weekend reading material. One of the scripts is "Kojak", which the actor didn't delve into since it won't be out for a while.

The biggest of his projects is Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2," which the action star said his son is very excited about.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel is only one of Marvel's assortment of new material, but it's one that's highly anticipated due to the positive feedback of the original film. According to Variety, newcomer Pom Klementieff will join the roster for the sequel, but Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and David Bautista will all reprise their characters -- and now we know Diesel will be coming back as well.

"This is the only time I ever get a script that comes with a CD, and that's just how my brother rolls," Diesel shared, clearly delighted by the CD that's labelled "Awesome Mix Vol. 2."

"James Gunn is such a great writer," he raved about his director. "I read the script and I go, 'You're a great director. And you're this good a writer too?' No wonder Marvel is so excited about what you do. No wonder Marvel can't wait to see 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2.' It's one of those page-turners, you can't put the script down."

He also talked about the soundtrack of the film saying, "Dancing is such a big part of this 'Guardians of the Galaxy' script."

"Guardians of the Galaxy" is slated to be released in theaters on May 5, 2017.

Written by Chad St. John, the "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" is another famous Diesel franchise that's set to get a much-hyped sequel.

"One of the great things about this script is how much fun it is," Diesel told the camera. "It's action of the highest order. It's an extreme sports take on the spy thing. It's just a lot of fun. Xander Cage is one of those characters that you just enjoy playing and most of the time I play deep characters. At times with the dark characters, you have to go a dark place to play those characters. But Xander Cage is a character that just truly has fun. So I'm blessed that I got that great script."
