UFC women's bantamweight contender Miesha Tate was supposed to face champion Ronda Rousey for the third time, but Dana White opted to have Holly Holm challenge for the title. Tate was asked during her appearance in "The MMA Hour" who she thinks will win in the UFC 193 main event and said the she expects Rousey to remain undefeated.

"If I had to pick, I'm definitely going to go with the champion. It's nothing against Holm. I just don't think it's a good style match-up. I really don't. I don't think that she's going to be able to stop Ronda for 25 minutes from taking her down and beating her, even if she jabs and moves," Tate said as quoted by MMA Fighting.

"She's going to have to run a lot, which means the champion is coming forward. And in order to become the champion, you have to beat the champion. So I'm curious to see what kind of game plan they're going to try to put together to do that," she added.

Since losing to Rousey in 2013, the 29-year-old fighter has gone 4-0 in the last two years. She defeated Liz Carmouche and Rin Nakai via a unanimous decision at UFC on FOX 11 and UFC Fight Night 52, respectively.

Tate then won via a majority decision in her fight against Sara McMann at UFC 183 and dominated Jessica Eye at UFC on FOX 16. With her fourth straight win, she became the number one ranked contender for the women's bantamweight title, according to the official UFC Rankings.

The 29-year-old nicknamed "Cupcake" certainly earned another shot at "Rowdy," but White said that Miesha should beat a couple more contenders to be able to fight Rousey again because she already lost to her twice, per Bloody Elbow.

Miesha was none too pleased with the decision by the UFC president because she was promised a third chance against Ronda when she defeated Eye last August. Tate found out that the UFC gave Holm the shot against the champion thru television when Ronda announced it in an appearance on "Good Morning America."

It frustrated Tate to a point that she contemplated retirement if things do not go well. The former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight champion rejected a Fight Pass bout with Amanda Nunes at the heavily promoted UFC 194 card.

According to her UFC Profile, Tate has a career MMA record of 17 wins and five losses with three wins coming by way of knockout, six via submission and eight decisions.
