Fans who are accustomed on using Viber as their means of communication can now enjoy the new feature of the app as it recently released Viber 5.6.0.2413 version.

According to NeuroGadget, the new Viber version requires at least 36.48 MB of space from the user's mobile phone in order to enjoy all of its new features. Some of the new and notable additions to Viber chat include a heart icon, which is strategically placed beside the group chat. The heart icon will let a user "like" a conversation that has been included on the group chat. While it's notable that it doesn't reflect to anything useful, it does add to the fun of being in a group chat.

While the older version of Viber has a limited number of characters when messaging, the new Viber 5.6.0.2413 version has a noteworthy improvement as it can now accept up to 7,000 characters. It also offers support for public chat for tablets instead of smartphones only.

Video messaging has also been enhanced with the latest update from Viber. As for the public chat, they can now be easily shared among users compared with its former version. If you're running on Android, you can simply go to the Google Play Store and download the latest version of Viber.

However, for those who opt to use third-party installers, you may need to declare it as an unknown source from your phone to fully download the feature. This can be found on the security setting of your phone, something that is not given as a default setting because of the security threat it may give. Viber is currently available on different OS platforms such as iOS, Symbian, Android, Blackberry OS and Mac OS. It is also being used by millions of consumers around the globe because of its free call and text messaging. For non-Viber users, the service offers very minimal charge for long distance calls.

In August, Viber made a significant update for iOS that literally blocks spam messages. Viber 5.1.1 version literally blocks spam messages for iPhones, iPads and other iOS devices without actually opening the message. The feature allows users to ignore spam messages while the sender will not be able to confirm whether you have read the message or not. Manually going through it, you may still need to open the message but set the number as blocked. Once blocked, users will not receive any type of messages from that number again.
