‘Fallout 4’ Director Talks DLC, Says Bethesda Will Take Their Cue From Fans
The fun isn't over for "Fallout 4," fans who are currently neck-deep in the post-apocalyptic game. Bethesda isn't taking time off after the launch. In fact, the team seems to be even more driven to continue making the newly-released game one of the best releases this season.
According to a report from Game Zone, game director Todd Howard took some time to talk about the post-launch plans during the game's recent red carpet event. The executive confirmed that Bethesda is working on the upcoming DLCs for "Fallout 4," ensuring that the game will push continue making huge strides beyond its successful launch.
"We're doing it," Howard said. "We have a bunch coming next year. This game is huge, but it's not just this launch. It's going to be well deep into next year. It's like the game is done, but it's not done because until everybody plays it, it's not really done."
Even better for the fans, the director revealed that player feedback will have a huge part in dictating what happens to the game going forward. According to Howard, Bethesda values the opinions and preferences of the fanbase, so the team will be monitoring the community closely for the upcoming content.
"What they bring to it is important, and then we're going to see what people like, what they want more of, what they want different, and then we're going to do that," Howard explained.
He added, "Our fans are amazing. They're super smart. And this is as important to them as it is to us."
This is not the first time Bethesda has discussed more content for "Fallout 4." Last September, the team revealed in the official blog that they will be releasing a Season Pass for those who want all of the DLCs from here on out. The Season Pass will be priced at $30 and while no specifics on the content have been announced, the developer said the first DLC will drop by early 2016.
"Based on what we did for 'Oblivion,' 'Fallout 3' and 'Skyrim,' we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you'll get it all with the Season Pass," Bethesda said on the official release.
"Fallout 4" for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC is currently out. It has received praise from critics and the audience, as well as made history as the top game on Steam with current players, according to a report from GameSpot.
