Paris Terror Attack: More Than 100 Dead After Multiple Shootings, Bombings; Hostage Situation Underway
More than 100 people have died from a reported coordinated attack in Paris, France on Friday night.
According to Reuters, several explosions were heard in the capital city, including near the Stade de France, a soccer stadium that was hosting a France vs. Germany game. French President Francois Hollande was in attendance of the game, and he was immediately escorted away from the stadium.
The soccer game was broadcast live and explosions were heard on air.

Most of the dead were first from a restaurant. Nearby, a hostage situation was underway at the Bataclan theatre. According to police, at least 100 people are said to be inside the Bataclan, but by 7:30 p.m. EST, the Associated Press confirmed the hostage situation was over as two terrorists were killed but also 100 hostages also died in the concert hall.
Due to the shootings, explosions and investigation, Stade de France spectators were not allowed to leave.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced it is monitoring the situation, and no credible threat has been made against the U.S. By 5:45 p.m. EST, President Barack Obama issued a live statement, noting he does not want to speculate on the situation since it may be ongoing. Furthermore, he hasn't spoke to Hollande since the attacks, but coincidentally, spoke to him earlier on Friday in preparation of the next G-20 summit.
