Fans of "The Walking Dead" have recently been glued to their TV screens every Sunday night and social media every day to find out more news about Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and what will happen to Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).

But now, both actors have opened up about their roles on the show and the storylines that have been coming up lately.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Reedus finally weighed in on the latest controversy coming out of the show, which is about the fate of Glenn.

"I was in that episode [episode 3] and I watched that episode and I was like how could they do that!" Reedus told WSJ. "I had the same feeling, trust me. That's our show. That's what we do. We rip your guts out -- literally."

Here's the thing. The show features a lot of little things that not all fans pick up on. Of course most have went back through and dissected the video of Glenn's (apparent) demise, but there are other things that you have to pay attention to as well.

"It's really entered a mature level of storytelling this time," Reedus said. "Little tiny things mean so much later. You really have to pay attention to everything. The acting is so on point, the directing is so on point. I feel like [showrunner] Scott [Gimple] is really leading the team to the Super Bowl."

Yeun also opened up to Entertainment Weekly about filming the season, but refrained from talking about his character's fate.

"I think, collectively, every first scene that we're all in together of every first episode of every season is probably my favorite," Yeun told EW. "It's one of those where everybody is still nervous -- even after six years we're nervous that we have to shoot this show. We're scared of making mistakes. We're scared of not doing a good job."

He described a camaraderie on set with his co-stars, which leads fans to believe that in some way, he will be a part of the series moving forward. But only time will tell that.

There is still hope for Glenn, considering the resolution to his fate will soon be revealed on the show, according to co-star Ross Marquand.
