'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Episode 9 Spoilers: Sheldon and Amy Try to Be Friends
The next episode of "The Big Bang Theory" will be fun and interesting as Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) make an attempt to be friends.
In the next holiday-themed episode, Sheldon and Amy will try to move past their differences and spend time together at the aquarium on Thanksgiving. The two have not really been getting along since their shocking breakup in the Season 8 finale. Sheldon continues to try to woo Amy instead of respecting her space, while they have each made attempts to date other people. However, Amy's date went sour in the last episode because he was obsessed with Sheldon. Meanwhile, Sheldon literally and figuratively closed the door on the idea of dating a beautiful and brilliant woman who shared his same interests.
Although it is not clear whether or not Amy and Sheldon will get back together, the two will at least try to mend fences in Thursday's episode.
"Sheldon and Amy try hanging out as friends when they spend Thanksgiving together at the aquarium. Also, Wolowitz reluctantly agrees to volunteer at the soup kitchen with Bernadette, Raj and Emily, and Penny discovers that Leonard knows more about her than she thought," reads the synopsis, according to CarterMatt.
It has also been revealed that Emmy winner Bob Newhart will reprise his fan favorite role as Arthur Jeffries aka Professor Proton next month, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sources told the THR that the iconic actor will appear in the midseason finale on Dec. 17, which will air just hours before "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hits theaters. Newhart's character will appear as a ghostly Jedi in Sheldon's dreams in effort to help him figure out what he wants and make a "very important" decision.
Season 9, Episode 7 will premiere on Thursday, Nov. 19 on CBS.
