'X Factor UK 2015' Update: One Direction Performs, Simon Cowell To Fire Olly Murs?
British boy band One Direction makes a step back into their home stage, as they performed in "X Factor UK" on Sunday night, Billboard reports.
Two days after the release of their hot album "Made in the A.M.," the boys sang one of their newest tracks -- "Perfect" -- just before the elimination. The brood composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlison wowed the crowd as they performed in London, England.
In the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris that frightened entire Europe, the boys paid a tribute to the victims by wearing ribbons around their wrists.
The group, which was created by "X Factor UK" judge Simon Cowell, found its home in the said competition since they all started their careers as participants in the show, including ex-member Zayn Malik.
"There is a good sense of home about this place," Horan told during the backstage interview. Five years ago, they were mere contestants of the competition.
But while the boys' recent performance has been smooth sailing and nostalgic, X Factor UK is finding itself in hot water, particularly its presenter Olly Murs, who accidentally revealed the competition's results even before he was handed out the decision.
According to New Zealand publication Stuff, fans were dumbfounded to hear the premature result on live television, hence firing speculations that the competition is fixed.
It was further reported that the results were in a deadlock since the judges found it hard to identify who should be sent home between Monica Michael and Anton Stephans. It is a common routine during deadlocks that the votes from the public are announced and it will be the basis on who is destined to stay or to leave.
However, even before the results were handed to him, Murs already revealed them, saying, "Unfortunately Monica you are going home." He was immediately corrected by his co-host Caroline Flack and said, "No, Olly, she's not."
Apparently, Murs was right when he said that Michaels is the one to be sent home for during that night.
On his Twitter account, Murs asked for an apology for his mistake.
I apologise to everyone tonight I made a massive f%#k up at the end. It was so tense!! I'm still learning & hope that never happens again!

As per Mirror, fans ask Cowell on whether he will fire the presenter over his controversial shortcoming. Cowell and others in position are yet to give their statements regarding the issue.
