They're big. They're brash. They fight a ton of other big and brash thing onscreen. Nearly everything explodes, girls run around wearing skimpy clothing shrieking, and guys with corny one-liners puff out their chests and get ready to fight to save the world. What movie franchise are we talking about here? Transformers, of course. The 1980s-inspired giant transforming robot saga is on everyone's radar now that Paramount Pictures is busily promoting the the soon-to-be released Transformers: Age of Extinction flick.

One of those events, CinemaCon, is going on now in Las Vegas and according to actor Mark Wahlberg, the movie "will be the biggest movie of 2014." Is he being cocky? After all, he's the star of the film... So perhaps he's being a bit egotistical but he's not making an outlandish box office prediction here.

While critics hate these films, as long as fans continue to flock to the cinema to watch them, like they surely will when Age of Extinction drops, be prepared to keep seeing sequels. That being said, the Age of Extinction title is pretty ironic considering that the series isn't ending anytime soon.

So while the unreleased film has a ton of eager fans awaiting its release what do Wahlberg's kids think about his casting? The proud papa bascially said his children think his role as Cade Yeager is awesome.

"I'm a father of four and I'm playing a father. I've embraced my getting older and my kids, it's funny having them see something like this, because they've seen pieces of the movie, and their reaction to it is, 'That's cool.'"

His kids got to watch the movie with him! But let's get back to Mark...

"Other people think it's cool. ... I'm excited. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a movie that is more anticipated."

One of his children, Ella, even joined him onstage during the Transformers presentation. Wahlberg's co-star's Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor also attended the event. One notable omission was Michael Bay, the director of all four Transformers films.

Wahlberg claimed Bay's absence was because the director was busy moonlighting as the editor. But maybe the famed director just had a case of stage fright as a result on his botched CES appearance?
