'Clash of Clans' Update Features: Patch Rolling Out on Christmas Day? Personal Break, Bonuses & More on Deck
"Clash of Clans" is one of the biggest games on the mobile platform and there are more on the way. Supercell has confirmed the development of a huge update, which is expected to make its debut any day now.
According to a report from Neurogadget, this upcoming patch will introduce a slew of significant upgrades including a new Village Guard and some changes in the Shields. Updates in the Session timers should also prove to tweak the gaming experience as well as the personal Break, matchmaking in Multiplayer, different bonuses and the trophy calcs.
A previous report from Latin Post dished on more details on the much-awaited update, notably a brand new town hall level: Town Hall 11. The expanded map size will also be a great way for players to move around and maneuver more. Other new features include a new defensive troop, additional hero and new quests and maps.
With the potential of so much new content, fans are hotly anticipating the confirmed patch. Many have wondered when the update will be landing and the latest speculation has placed the release date on Christmas. It's a happy holiday for fans if it does drop on the date, but Supercell has addressed the "delay" in the meantime.
"We realize this update has been a long update in coming, but we are taking the time we need to make sure all of the delicate upcoming changes are as well tested and well balanced as possible," Supercell said via Neurogadget. "There is also a lot to talk about, so we are going to kick off a 2-week peek starting on the week of November 23rd to get everyone in on the conversation."
There will be more news in the days surrounding the sneak peek to the update.
Previously, there has been feedback that the update seemed to be geared towards high-level players, according to a report from Touch Arcade.
"TH11 is a big update," Supercell representative Anoushka explained in imgur via Touch Arcade. "It may not affect everyone equally, but we will definitely see changes in attack/defense (new hero, new defense) and that is a game changer in a way."
Anoushka added, "But there was too much hype, so now by 'game changer' people expect an update that will revolutionize the entire game and bring a whole new dimension to 'Clash', as Clan Wars did, and anything less than that may sound like a let down."
