Watch AMC 'The Walking Dead' Season 4 Streaming Online & Spoilers: Robert Kirkman Talks Rick Grimes' Season Finale "Shock"
The Walking Dead's season 4 finale airs on AMC this Sunday. The last episode left viewers with a glimmer of hope, but will the season finale have the same effect?
With a group finally reaching Terminus, more suspense abounds. According to Greg Nicotero, The Walking Dead executive producer, Mary, played by Denise Crosby, is not the only person there.
"She's the one that we see first, but we'll quite quickly meet others," Nicotero told The Hollywood Reporter. "In this particular situation, it's easy for them to get in."
Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead comic book creator and AMC show writer and executive producer, revealed that Sunday's episode will be Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) centric.
"This last half of season 4 has been a character defining group of stories for everyone, but really, Rick Grimes -- really finding what this guy is going to be able to do and how he is going to carry on, and is he going to get these people back together, and where is he going to go from here?" Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly. "And I think there are some big questions that are asked that are going to be answered in this final episode."
The episode will also dissect how Rick deals with Terminus, the Claimers and Abraham.
"When and if [Abraham, Eugene and Rosita] meet up with Rick and his group, would Rick be willing to go along on that mission, or will they find a place to hold up at Terminus that allows them the safety that they've had for the past three years? That's what we're going to find out," Nicotero teased.
Whatever the result is, it will reportedly put Rick Grimes in a position that viewers have yet to see him in.
"This is Rick Grimes being pushed to his absolute limit," Kirkman said. "And if you think you've seen that before, you haven't. And the Rick Grimes that comes out of this is really going to shock people."
Kirkman has continuously promised that the season 4 finale will leave fans dying for the season 5 premiere.
"We're definitely going to being bringing things to another level," he said. "And the anticipation for the next season after this finale is unfortunately going to be a lot more heightened than it has been between any other season. So it's going to be a rough summer for Walking Dead fans waiting for us to come back in the fall."
The Walking Dead season finale episode, "A," premieres Sunday at 9/8c on AMC. Viewers can watch the latest episodes on AMC.com using their cable provider login.
