The much-anticipated "Halo 5: Guardians" video game has released an update, the "Battle of Shadow and Light," which includes the beloved Big Team Battle.

According to Attack of the Fan Boy, the Big Team Battle has been noticeably absent from the playlist after the initial release of "Halo 5: Guardians" last October. The 16-player vehicular scrimmage has been one of the most anticipated parts of the "Halo" series, something that its developer 343 Industries considerably included in their first major update.

The updates were announced on "Halo's" website, saying, "Our promised commitment to meaningful post-launch support and expanded free content begins today."

Some of the important updates include the Big Team Battle: 16-Player Vehicular Carnage and 48 New REQs that feature the Shinobi Armor and Tracer Armor sets. The Tundra Mantis was described as a "boggy and snowy environment, but its onboard fusion power plant has innumerable uses in remote campaigns." An improved Mantis also means an extra armor for the player.

The arrival of the Big Team Battle maps has allowed players to get the maximum experience playing the mayhem and scrimmage the video game offers. This month, the two REQs that were added include are the Ultra Rare Shinobi Armor and Legendary Dying Star LightRifle.

Vehicle skins have been significant in the game as these allow players to customize their vehicles according to their preference. The "Battle of Shadow and Light" update will bring two new vehicle skins: the Tundra and Woodland.

The Shove It assassination skill, despite being brutal and merciless, is also combined with hilarity at some point (knives were brought to a gunfight), giving the challenge a light but equally brutal way of killing. Aside from the already mentioned features, there are at least a dozen more to unlock in the latest update, something that players will eventually discover and use as the game progresses.

The availability of the 8v8 Big Team Battle playlist has allowed players to use the Deadlock, Basin, Guillotine and Recurve to fight at the large-scale arena.

"Halo 5: Guardians" is developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft. It is also an Xbox One inclusive, which recently put the Xbox One console sales ahead of the PlayStation 4 last October when it was officially released.
