WhatsApp for iPhone has now joined the series of apps that has adapted the Peek and Pop 3D Touch elements.

According to Neurogadget, the WhatsApp 2.12.11 update has been the fifth installment on the iPhone line's WhatsApp updates. Some of its newest features include rich previews of links, which allows users to choose the image and title for the link before sending it out.

Not only that, WhatsApp 2.12.11 update also features the Peek and Pop 3D Touch for iPhone. Chats will primarily benefit from it, where users can see all starred messages in just one dialogue. This can be accessed by going to "Settings > Starred Messages."

While there have been rumors about the apparent creation of video chat for WhatsApp from its developers, there's no official statement that says it is coming. That being said, the video calling feature will probably be implemented first on Android devices followed by the iOS.

The Peek and Pop feature that is currently integrated with the latest WhatsApp Update 2.12.11 allows users to navigate the app using 3D Touch, depending on what function they want to use or see.

The Peek option of the app will let users to slightly press on the desired location to see an outline of what the message is while the Pop feature allows the user to press harder, meaning they want to open the app to see its full content. Considering how different messages can arrive at a certain time, the Peek and Pop feature of the latest WhatsApp update will allow users to choose which one they want to read first before going through the rest of the messages. Currently, the Peek and Pop feature is only available on iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus and its functions are not limited to the WhatsApp application only.

In a separate report by Neurogadget, the Peek and Pop for iPhone is also applicable on Mail apps, Photos, Safari browser and Google Maps. As noted by the website, the current rich preview for links is available on iOS gizmos.
