'Project CARS' PS4, Xbox One Gameplay Update: Patch Version 6.0 Brings Improved AI, Online Game Experience
A new patch for "Project CARS" has been released. The latest update brings in several fixes and new features.
According to a post on Operation Sports, the "Project Cars" update 6.0 is now available for the PlayStation 4 console as well as the Microsoft Xbox One. The patch was released last week for Microsoft Windows PC.
According to the full patch notes, the latest "Project Cars" gameplay update for PS4 and Xbox One brings in a new "host kick function" in which the host of an online multiplayer game can now choose to instantly kick a player from the server. There is also a mandatory pit stop where the Lobby admin can decide to "force a single pitstop during any race."
In addition to general stability improvements, a new option for the online version is available called the "Allow Ghosted Vehicles." According to the patch notes, this will allow the lobby admin to choose if he likes the cars ghosted or not when players drive the wrong way.
Issues on various cars were fixed as well. For instance, the dev team was able to fix the DLC livery windscreen banners for the Bentley Continental GT3.
A windscreen banner issue for the Toyota GT86 Rocket Bunny has been resolved as well. Moreover, the default tire pressure for the Ruf CTR3 SMS-R has been increased so it will work better with the tire warmers.
To improve the AI, the latest "Project CARS" update enhanced the awareness and look-ahead. This is to help with situations that include multi-class races.
As for the tyre updates, players will also find fixes on a number of tyres in the game to avoid FFB buzz when the tread becomes very thin. Most of the tyres were recalibrated "for a carcass heating fix when the tyres are underinflated."
Moreover, the wear rates for Group C, GT3, DTM, Trans-AM/GTO and LMP rubber have been adjusted in the recently-released "Project CARS" patch 6.0.
As for other general changes, the latest update now turns on the driver name tags above cars for replays. Historic drivers are able to get an improved Helmet view exposure, the patch notes further shared.
