Are you a regular Skype user? The latest Skype Version 6.11 may just be the thing you've always wanted as it now allows users to save video messages.

According to the Skype Blog, the latest Skype update for Android allows you to simply tap the video and choose the "Save to Gallery" option. While this is probably the most significant part of the update, the new Skype Version 6.11 allows you to do other things such as long-pressing a conversation, which can be found on your "Recent" tabs. By doing so, you will be able to delete, mute notifications and "mark as read" some of the messages you have received.

The Skype Version 6.11 has also eased up the process of sending images within a conversation as well as forwarding them to several conversations. A revamped search function has also been included on the latest Skype update as well as the ability of the user to send emojis, something that is very similar to the short GIF messages. If you already have the Skype app on your mobile phone, all you need to do is go to Google Play and have it updated. For those who will download Skype for the first time, you will be directed to the updated version once you download it from the Google Play Store.

Previously, PC featured the latest Skype update that lets you chat without signing in for a Skype account. Users who own a Skype account only have to invite an outside party in order to join the Skype session. Outside users don't need to have an account, but they need an invitation in order to access the app. A single and unique link is all you need in order to invite someone to join the chat.

On the app's official blog, Skype announced, "In the early days, Skype's goal was to get the whole world talking for free; we wanted people to share more and to say hello to at least one new person every day."

The link that allows outside users to access Skype without signing up can be sent through Facebook, email, WhatsApp, Messenger and Twitter. Users who don't have an account will click the link, and, from then on, will be prompted to the next step.
