Black Friday is going to be a huge day for gamers nationwide as the price cuts, bundles, and deals are going to be in abundance.

The leaders in the console wars, the PS4 and Xbox One, have been in deep contention to take the top spot for the retail day extravaganza and according to a Latin Post poll that was run last week, it would seem that the PS4 is still in the league to dominate.

Xbox One vs. PS4

The results were close and around 46 percent of users voted for picking up the PS4 while 43 percent voted in favor for the Xbox One. While only 596 people voted in the poll, the poll allows no repeat votes for the same IP address. The results can still go either way come next week. In fact, it was predetermined that the Xbox One may finally take the lead due to Microsoft's recent Fall lineup of games.

Xbox One - Game Lineup

"The strength of the greatest games lineup in Xbox history drove record Xbox Live usage for October and made Xbox One the best-selling console in the U.S. with 81 percent growth compared to October 2014," Xbox marketing corporate VP Mike Nichols said in a statement shared with GameSpot.

The deliberation between what console a consumer is likely to pick up this holiday season is largely determined by the amount of exclusive titles that are currently out. Those who opt to purchase an Xbox One over a PS4 seem to only do so because of the console's better lineup.

PS4 Not Worth It?

"If you own a PS3, there's really no reason to get a PS4 yet. Once Uncharted 4 comes out in March, I agree, but there are no major exclusives yet," commented user Brandon Brooks. "The Xbox one is the big deal this christmas holiday. Halo, Tomb Raider, Forza, backwards compatibility, EA Access, lots of reasons."

Both consoles have dropped their prices for the holiday season to around the same price of $300-$350 depending on the retailer. Most will be sold with gaming bundles ranging from the same price.

The Wii U fell behind sharply in the polls with only 1 percent of the votes, and 7 percent voted for not buying any of the consoles.
