There are so many mobile phones out in the market, but there's always room for a well-made Samsung handset. The company made its way to the top with innovation, seamless design and the constant improvement from their beginner smartphones to the most high-end models. Next up are sequels to the Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5, which will be out next year with boosted features.

According to a report from Phone Arena, both next-generation Samsung Galaxy A3 and Samsung Galaxy A5 showed up in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which points to an approaching release date in the U.S. in 2016.

While a lot of details have already been released on the two handsets, an important feature was uncovered at FCC: a generous 2900 mAh battery firing up the new Samsung Galaxy A5. Considering its predecessor only carried a 2300 mAh cell, it's impressive to note that the upcoming device will boast a considerable upgrade in terms of battery power.

A previous benchmark test reported by Phone Arena revealed that the Galaxy A5 will be fitted with a 5.2-inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core 1.6GHz CPU paired with a Mali-T720 GPU. Other specs include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a five-megapixel front camera.

Meanwhile, the most recent report said that more than one variant of the Samsung Galaxy A3 was spotted at FCC. One variant sported dual SIM capabilities, but no additional details regarding the rest of the models have been divulged.

The A3 is slightly smaller than the A5 with a 4.7-inch screen with 720 x 1280 resolution, but it's equipped with standout features as well including the Exynos 7580 SoC under the hood, backed by a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU. Memory is at 1.5GB of RAM plus 16GB of internal storage. Other notable specs are a 13-megapixel rear snapper, a five-megapixel selfie camera and the Android 5.1.1.

More details on the two Galaxy handsets are expected in the future as well as the Galaxy A7 which has also shown up in some tests.

According to a report from GSM Arena, another device dubbed the Samsung Galaxy A9 will also be a part of the lineup soon as a listing for the phone popped up in GeekBench. The Samsung Galaxy A9 will reportedly feature the Snapdragon 620 SoC, as seen in the listing.
