Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 News: PES 16 Might Be Available as Free to Play Game
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 might have a free version coming in certain areas of the world.
A version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 has been rated "G" by the Australian government, according to PC Mag.
The game called Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 Free to Play would be separate from the regular Pro Evolution Soccer 2016. Both games have been given separate ratings by the Australian Government's Classification website. The game was certified by the website on Nov. 19.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 has been reviewed highly for its excellent soccer simulation features but has lost some points for not having as many licensed players or teams as rival game FIFA 16.
The free to play Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 version would likely be an online-only or a game with limited features.
Konami has not mentioned anything about the free to play version of the game, but with separate listings on the Australian classification site, it looks like the games will be separate and unrelated.
If Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 Free to Play is introduced, it might only make it to certain regions of the world, like FIFA Online 3 did. There is no mention of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 Free to Play on the ESRB website. The ESRB rates games in North America.
Konami likely would not rate the game if they only planned on making it available in Australia, so it could just be a matter of time before more agencies like the ESRB rate the game.
Owners of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 will be getting free additional content. Konami wants to keep owners of the game happy for some missing features and inaccurate team rosters when the game launched.
To keep owners of the game happy, Konami is offering all EURO 2016 content for free. The content is not yet known, but it will likely include EURO 2016 logos, stadiums, achievements and tournaments, Pure Xbox reports.
