There are a lot of rumors going around the internet about Disney's "Star Wars: Episode VII," since it was purchased from Lucasfilms in October of 2012. In this article, we've rounded some of the most interesting film details that any excited fan or simple curious net scavenger would need to know.

"Episode VII" Story Plot

The timeline for the movie's plot will take place 30 years after "Return of the Jedi", which capped off the original Star Wars trilogy, and "will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces," reports The Verge. The great thing about this plot is that the "Episode VI: Return of the Jedi" came out back in 1983, about 30 years ago which makes the age and appearance of any original cast member right on the money.

To further tease excited movie watchers, MarketSaw shared that the movie will "ultimately [be] about twins, and which will take a path towards darkness and which will follow in their fathers footsteps, or at least that is what it used to be, that may come later as I think changes are being undertaken to bring the original cast into the forefront of the story leading to ramifications that lead up to the next generation of Skywalkers."

Star Studded Movie Cast

Production teams have remained tightlipped when it comes to the upcoming film's casting and has only confirmed R2-D2 as a character who would appear in "Episode VII". While the official site stated, "No further details on casting or plot are available at this time," it did go on to also say the film "will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces."

The official "Star Wars" website confirmed that principal photography on the film will start in May 2014 in London's Pinewood Studios, and the film is scheduled to hit theaters in time for the holidays on December 18, 2015. Sadly, that's still quite a wait for "Star Wars" heads who've been waiting for a new installment for almost 10 years, since the 2005 release of the final prequel trilogy.
