The countdown for the release of "Just Cause 3" is winding down, and the game is slowly shaping up to be an impressive sequel to the open-world adventure franchise. Recently, developer Avalanche Studios offered a new peek at the exciting world of "Just Cause" with a video teaser showcasing the playable map in the upcoming game.

According to a report from GameSpot, the new video on the YouTube account of PlayStation Access had the complete game map from end to end. The 400-square-mile map is a definite challenge, with a main island and several more making up the archipelago.

The video didn't just provide a sneak peek at the map, but also a full preview of the world in store as the hosts tested the helicopter and roamed the mountains to see the various terrains located in the in-game landscape. It's an impressive backdrop for "Just Cause 3", and Avalanche Studios worked hard to develop it to upgrade from its predecessor.

While the newest teaser may showcase the expansive world, previous reports reveal that the difference of the latest installment from the previous one is less about size and more about density and content. In an interview with Game Informer last year, game director Roland Lesterlin spoke about the plans for "Just Cause 3".

"'Just Cause 2' was already enormous," Lesterlin pointed out. "We really wanted to focus now on density and the feel of the world itself. So we didn't necessarily just have to do increased land mass. But we have certainly gone a lot bigger when it comes to density of the world. And now it's not just on top of the world -- we also have caves and tunnels and all sorts of stuff there, too."

Players will be able to experience all these in a while, when the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC drops in the market on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

According to a report from Gear Nuke, the PlayStation 4 version of the game is already available for pre-loading. Pre-loading size required is around 6GB, while the rest of the game will hit almost 40GB worth of content.

An additional 2.8GB will also be required for the first-day patch. This update came out ahead of the actual "Just Cause 3" game with optimization and bug fixes mostly, according to PC Gamer. However, a few content tweaks will also be included such as the protagonist's personality: "Rebels riding along with Rico will now be less rude and not talk over each other."

Will you be grabbing "Just Cause 3" as soon as it's released?
