'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date, Updates: Daybreak Town to be Part of KH3?
Speculations about Kingdom Hearts 3 continue to sprawl online and one of the latest news suggests that Daybreak Town will be part of the upcoming iteration of the popular Disney game franchise. Release date rumors also point out to a December launch for KH3.
Gaming Bolt cited a Youtube video created by TheGamersJoint which features a poster suggesting the inclusion of Daytown Break to the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3. "The poster says there was a special video shown off at D23 that was supposed to be a 'making of' the game,' the report explained.
And in that special video, game developers included a 3D stylized version of Day Break Town. This automatically ignited speculations that this world might also be part of Kingdom Hearts 3.
However, since no official update has been released yet for the game, KH3 fans are expected to take these rumors with a pinch of salt. Meanwhile, watch the cited video from TheGamersJoint below:
A previous Latin Post report noted that Kingdom Hearts 3 might be available this December after a list of upcoming Amazon games showed up. Citing Motoring Crunch, the publication also pointed out the possibility that the purported December launch of the game could just be to pre-order the game.
The official Square Enix website shared that Kingdom Hearts 3 will feature an older Sora who will be embarking on different adventures together with Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and more. KH3 "will harness next generation console technologies to weave together an incredibly stunning universe full of new and familiar Disney worlds," the post further read.
Speaking of Disney worlds, previous reports also confirmed that Big Hero 6 will be part of the game. Fans can also look forward to seeing characters from Toy Story come Kingdom Hearts 3's official release date.
The engine used for the game was cited to be the culprit for the delayed release of Kingdom Hearts 3. "The transition was quite a process," Tetsuya Nomura, game director, shared, adding that they had to begin "from the ground again."
"We had to make sure that we could recreate our key effects in the Unreal Engine and that the effects we specifically needed for Kingdom Hearts could be adapted," he further added.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is the newest installment to the KH franchise. It is an action role-playing game from Square Enix and will be available for the latest generations of game consoles, the Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One.
