One of the most anticipated collaborations in the music industry just happened. Beyonce and Coldplay recently released a new single titled "Hymn For The Weekend" for Coldplay's upcoming album and was just listened to for the first time at Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 Show on Monday morning in London.

The track, which is featured in Coldplay's album "A Head Full of Dreams," will be available on Dec. 4 when the album comes out, The Independent reports. Furthermore, "Hymn For the Weekend" also features Beyonce's vocals in the beginning and all throughout as she sings in the background with Coldplay.

Coldplay's bassist Guy Berryman even revealed how Beyonce was phenomenal during the recording and how the song was conceptualized.

"It actually started off being quite a different vibe, this song," Berryman said in the radio show as quoted by E! News. "Chris was wanting to write a sort of party song. The words were 'Drinks on me, drinks on me.' And we said to him, 'You can't say that. You can't get away with that.'"

"Then the whole story of the song changed and then he asked Beyoncé to sing on it, and she very kindly said she would. And it was amazing. She came in. She did her thing. She's unbelievably professional. I think she was in and out in five minutes. And we are so blessed to sing on one of our songs," the bassist added.

Chris Martin previously said how it was a special album, which will include songs with his children and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow as well as Beyonce's daughter Blue Ivy. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Martin revealed the inspiration behind the album.

"Everyone who got asked to sing on our album has an important part in our lives," Martin told the publication. "The 'choir' started with my two kids coming in after school and recording. We recorded Blue Ivy Carter in New York when her mom Beyoncé was in the studio. It comes from learning about Greek tragedy, where the chorus chimes in at times. To me, when we use that sound, it's to affirm what I'm saying. 'We agree with you, Chris. Keep singing,'" he said.

The Independent further reports that the release of Coldplay's album "A Head Full of Dreams" this Dec. 4 may or may not be affected by Adele's album "25," which is now breaking record sales around the globe. Listen to the song "Hymn For The Weekend" below and write your comments!
