Jennifer Lopez is making sure her upcoming Las Vegas residency is like no other by checking out her competition.

The music superstar dished to Vegas Magazine about what fans can expect from her residency, called "All I Have," which kicks off at Axis at Planet Hollywood on Jan. 20, 2016.

The 46-year-old singer is aware of the pressure to have a one-of-a-kind show and revealed that she's looking at what her peers have done to plan her own.

"I want the show to be always changing so it's a unique experience every time -- one night a Selena song and another maybe something by Diana Ross," Lopez said.

"I've scoped out the competition and have already seen Britney, Shania, Celine and all the Cirque shows."

The singer and actress, whose new show "Shades of Blue" premieres on Jan. 7 on NBC, explained the name of her residency came from her own work ethic, which means always giving it her all and making sure she is dedicated to every aspect, no matter how small, of putting on a show, regardless of what others may think.

"Sometimes other people -- the music department or my management -- might like a person, but I'm, like, 'Oh, they're a little bit weak in this part; there's not enough technique.' They're bringing the story to life, so they're an integral part of the show, acting a little bit, even," Lopez said.

If her recent performance at the 2015 American Music Awards, where she also served as host, proved anything, it was even when she gets on stage to dance other people's songs she makes them her own.

The Bronx-born Latina may now be based in Los Angeles, but the Puerto Rican star wants to make her show is a representation of her hometown.

Lopez explained she wants her show to to be like a Bronx block party and wants people to let loose, reported Fox News Latino.

"I'm just looking to do the best Jennifer Lopez show anyone has ever seen," she said.

Lopez is the latest of a string of iconic music superstars to get their own residency. Other female singers who have had or currently are performing in Vegas include Cher, Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey, who recently discussed her rumored feud with Lopez.
