After months of speculations as to who will be the star in Playboy magazine's last nude issue, reports confirmed that it will be "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson, who was handpicked by the publication to mark an end of an era.

The 48-year-old model and actress already agreed to it, according to ET. Talking with ET's Carly Steel, Anderson revealed how she came to be the last one to be on the cover of Playboy magazine's nude issue. Playboy previously announced that it would shift its entire theme to make way for society's changes.

"I got a call from [Hugh Hefner's] attorney who said, 'We don't want anybody else. There's nobody else, could you do the last cover of Playboy?'" Anderson told ET. "I was like, 'What? Are you serious?' But then I thought that's probably a good thing," she added.

Furthermore, Anderson agreed to Playboy's previous statement, saying how the internet changed the business of nudity as there were already tons of information readily available and Playboy was the least of the consumers' choices.

"It's hard to compete with the Internet. And the girl next door doesn't exist anymore. She's taking selfies down her shirt, like, you know, there's no mystery over there anymore. It doesn't have that same charm and innocence that it used to," Anderson said.

However, the reason behind Hefner's choice is still unknown, but it seems like Anderson's confidence is now 10 times more than before.

"The photographer shot me in one roll of film because I was nervous and throwing up," Anderson told James Franco in an interview for the January/February 2016 issue of Playboy as she looked back in her first Playboy shoot back in 1989.

Not only that, Anderson said yes right away upon finding out that Hefner himself wanted her for the cover. "He's such a sweetheart and he's just been such a big part of my life. And people have been asking me over the last year, 'Would you ever pose for Playboy again?' I'm like, 'They're never going to ask... I mean I'm sure they're sick of me,'" Anderson shared to ET adding, "So when Hef asked, I couldn't help myself."

Previously, "Keeping Up With the Kardashian" star Kim Kardashian West was even rumored to be a possible pick for the cover, but apparently, it was the "Baywatch" star who made the cut.
