Republican incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran won the GOP primary in Mississippi, signaling another defeat for the Tea Party, in one of a number of primary races Tuesday night that yielded favorable results for incumbents.
The weakening storm, Tropical Storm Karen, which threatened floods, wind surges, heavy rainfall and much worse, has severely dissipated since it first appeared on meteorologists’ radar.
