A sizable chunk of U.S. Latinos believe education is one of the nation's most important issues. A recent survey of the Latino community offers clear opinions on standardized testing, charter schools, school vouchers, education spending, federal government performance and the direction of K-12 education.
Standardized testing is valued far more by Latino voters than non-Latino voters. Also, Latino voters are more optimistic when it comes to investing in public education.
Comedian Louis C.K. can find humor in just about anything. But, he doesn't find the Common Core curriculum and standardized testing in NYC's schools funny, or so the jokes regarding the subject suggest. C.K. took to social media to rag on the practice and continued to criticize it on "The Late Show" where he appeared last Thursday evening.
