Chris Brown is in a giving mood, gifting former domestic abuse victim Jessica Roncalli bevy of holiday gifts, including a new car.

According to Vibe magazine, the "Loyal" singer was recently on hand at the Boys & Girls Club in Hollywood, where he made his surprise drop-off to Roncalli and her three children.

Later, Brown took to Twitter to explain to fans what motivated his gift.

"I've been very fortunate and blessed with so much in my life and I always thought that it was supposed to be that way," he posted. "I was selfish, arrogant, and cold hearted. I'm able to bless and inspire so many others and I realize that now."

Brown signaling Roncalli out for such special treatment could hold added significance, given his own checkered history and his onetime conviction for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

"This woman has delt with domestic abuse through her life and her 3 wonderful children had to experience that," he added in his post. "I see myself when I looked into their eyes. The amount of strength this woman has is remarkable."

Brown has seemingly been filled with the spirit of human kindness of late. Just two weeks ago, he traveled to New York borough Queens, where he handed out some 2,000 turkeys to needy families ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. He also recently announced that he plans to donate a dollar from the sale of each of his "Royalty" albums to a children's hospital.

After the Thanksgiving day gesture, Brown publicly thanked fellow rapper and Queens native 50 Cent, who apparently aided him in putting the event together.
