A New York Supreme court judge has issued an arrest warrant for rap star DMX after he failed to appear for a court hearing in an ongoing child support case.

Bossip reports Judge Paul Marx was visibly agitated when the hip hop star was a no-show for Monday's proceedings at the Westchester County Supreme Court. Instead, the long troubled rapper was said to be in Las Vegas, performing his "DMXmas" act at the Foxtail Nightclub.

His lawyer later explained to the judge that the rapper had confused the date for the proceedings and thought they were actually scheduled for a day later this week.

"It's going to be really hard to perform at the Westchester County Jail," the judge reportedly told his attorneys. "[DMX] sat here at the table and said, 'If you let me go, I'm coming back.' Well, he ain't here. It'll be interesting to see if TSA picks him up on a warrant."

The last time the judge ordered the rapper taken into custody was back in October, when he again missed a scheduled hearing. Back then, he pleaded with the judge that he needed to go back on the road to earn a living and assured the court that he would return for all scheduled dates.

During Monday's proceedings, the rapper was supposed to reveal all his assets in his ongoing battle with ex-wife Tashera Simmons. His attorney Joseph Daniels assured the court they have been feverishly working to try and figure everything out.

In the midst of the latest back and forth, the judge took the time to extend his sympathies to Tashera.

"Ms. Simmons, I am sorry for the inadequacies of the court system to get you any relief today," he said.

The soon-to-be 45-year-old rapper already has a lengthy arrest record, including arrests for drug possession, assault, animal cruelty and impersonating a federal agent.
