In other Street Fighter 5 news, the Director of Brand Marketing and eSports for Capcom, Matt Dahlgren, shared their thoughts on previous SF5 character leaks. Event Hubs noted that there are data miners who had been able to unearth vital contents regarding Street Fighter 5 that are not yet intended for public release such as info about the first six downloadable characters.
Lamenting on these leaks and admitting it as a learning process, Matt Dahlgren shared with Event Hubs,
"I think the biggest safeguard is that we shouldn't have the content in there to begin with."
It was a basic oversight that we didn't catch this time around," Dahlgren added. "I don't think we can really blame fans for being so passionate that they want to go in and try to find everything out."
"I think the onus is more on us to be a bit more proactive to make sure that information isn't there for them to find to begin with," he further shared.
Street Fighter 5's release date is set for Feb. 16, 2016. The video game is produced and developed by Capcom with co-developer Dimps.
