Danny Trejo Appears as Fallout 4 Character
Actor Danny Trejo is now playing Fallout 4, and he recently posted an image of his character to social media. The Mexican-American actor apparently wanted a personalized gaming experience, so he is playing as himself in the game.
Trejo posted a picture of a character -- which either he created or was created for him by one of his many fans -- that looks just like the actor himself, GameSpot reports.
The actor tweeted the picture of his character, along with the caption, "Time to hit the wastelands."
The likeness to Trejo is very accurate, except for the hair. Fallout 4's official Twitter account wondered where Trejo's long hair went. Trejo might have altered his hair when he created the character, or put it into a ponytail.
Trejo appears to have just started playing Fallout 4 because the text shown in the image that he shared on Twitter is from an early part of the game. Still, he must know a little about the game, since he had changed the color of the Pip-Boy text to purple.
This is not the first time that Trejo has appeared in a video game from developer Bethesda. Trejo lent his voice to the character Raul Tejada in the last installment of the series, Fallout: Las Vegas. Tejada was a ghoul mechanic who could become a player companion in the game.
Trejo also appeared as himself in a map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Finally, Trejo is included in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Fallout 4 includes quite a few characters that are based on other famous celebrities and fictional characters. There are characters based on Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Nigel Thornberry. Trejo is likely the first celebrity to have to make a character based on his own likeness.
Trejo is best known for appearing in action movies. His "Brady Bunch" Super Bowl commercial from last year is still shown on TV frequently.
