PlayStation, Xbox Holiday Sales Continue; Best Deals Include Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid & More
Being a gamer is never better -- and more affordable -- than during the holiday season. This year's is particularly special with so much good deals and discounts on all platforms, especially leading titles from PlayStation and Xbox.
According to a report from the Major Nelson blog by Microsoft's Larry Hryb, Xbox Live's much-hyped "Countdown" sale has dropped its new sale offers for the second week of its run. The sale, touted as the "biggest digital game sale of the year", includes best-selling titles for Xbox One such as "Fallout 4," "Assassin's Creed Syndicate," "Alien: Isolation," "Chivalry: Medieval Warfare," "Fallout 4," "Metal Gear Solid 5," "Rainbow Six Siege" and many more.
Xbox 360 players will also get to enjoy a wide variety of discounts this season. Some of the games in the arsenal are "Call of Duty," "Diablo 3," "Gears of War," "Metal Gear Solid 5," "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and more.
Daily deals for Dec. 30 include "Life is Strange" and "Slender: The Arrival." See the complete list of sale items on the Major Nelson blog.
Those who have gone "Gold" are rewarded with extra perks for these marked down Xbox games. The blog revealed, "Xbox Live Gold members will save up to an additional 10 percent on top of the game discounts, so now is a great time to go Gold and enjoy the benefits."
Meanwhile, Sony is also going all out for their version of the Christmas sale, which is on the last week of its run. According to a report from Game Spot, the complete list of games have not yet been disclosed to the public, but a teaser on the official website ahead the announcement give the fans an idea of what to expect in the final set of sale items for the PlayStation Plus members.
The latest console gets the best deals of the bunch with a host of popular PlayStation 4 games offered with massive discounts including "Fallout 4," "NHL 16," "Bloodborne," "Far Cry 4," "Goat Simulator" and "Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin."
Other platforms of the collection PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita will also have a good selection of games on sale including "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare", "Resident Evil: Revelations 2" and "Just Dance 2016."
The 2015 PlayStation Network Holiday Sales will run until Jan. 4, 2016.
