The next model of the HTC One is expected to be announced at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona at the end of February. The phone will be an update to the HTC One M9 and likely be called the HTC One M10.

The new HTC phone is expected to be a much different phone than previous versions of the HTC One, Tech Radar reports.

HTC's CEO wants the company's 2016 flagship phone to be innovative and improved. This means the phone might have a whole new look to it.

One feature the HTC One M10 could add is wireless charging. If the One M10 decides to support wireless charging, HTC would be required to change from the all-metal body that the M9 has to a different design, since wireless charging does not work well with metal bodies.

The HTC One M10 is also due for a screen upgrade. Many of today's smartphones are using Quad HD (QHD) displays, including the One M9+ and it would make sense for the One M10 to use this display.

One exciting feature that could be included in the One M10 is its chip. The chip inside of a smartphone is perhaps one of the most important components that it has. The highly anticipated Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor is expected to be used in most flagship phones in 2016, including the One M10.

The one gripe that consumers had with the HTC One M9 was a small battery. HTC needs to find a way to include a big, long-lasting battery, while still keeping the device nice and thin.

Smartphone cameras are continuing to improve. The LG G4 has one of the best cameras in a smartphone, while the HTC One M9 had just an average camera. LG is likely to release a new phone this year as well, and they will probably have an even better camera. This is HTC's chance to show that they can put an excellent camera into a smartphone.

HTC has competition from LG and Samsung. Both smartphone makers are expected to release brand new flagship phones in early 2016 as well.
