NFL Schedule 2014 & Season: 6 Must-Watch Games To See This Season
The National Football League is by far the most viewed sports league in America. With only 16 games played per regular season, every game is a must see for fans. However, there are some games that have more importance than others. When divisional opponents and rival teams meet up, it's can't miss.
For the 2014 NFL season, these 5 games are "can't miss" football games regardless of what team you root for.
6. Washington Redskins at Indianapolis Colts
(Week 13, November 30)
This is going to have great headlines leading up to the game. The top two draft picks from the 2012 NFL draft will face off against each other in a quarterback duel at Lucas Oil Stadium. Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck will always be tied together because of the 2012 draft. This game should also have big playoff implications for both teams.
5. Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks
(Week 1, September 4)
This is the opening game of the regular season and will be played at Century Link Field. The Packers have Aaron Rodgers, but still questions remain on the defensive side of the ball. The Seahawks dominate in almost ever facet of the game and look to repeat as Super Bowl champs. A lot of fans remember the last time these teams played, when the infamous "fail mary" occurred at the end of regulation.
4. Denver Broncos at New England Patriots
(Week 9, November 2)
These teams always play each other tough, with two elite quarterbacks battling it out. The AFC isn't loaded with many good teams right now, so home field advantage might be decided in this game that will take place at Gillette Stadium in early November. Last season, these two teams split 1-1 in the two games played against each other with the Broncos eliminating the Patriots in the playoffs.
3. Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks
(Week 3, September 21)
A Super Bowl rematch. Last time we watched these two teams play each, the Seahawks annihilated the Broncos 43-8 at MetLife Stadium to win the Lombardi Trophy. This time, the Broncos must travel to Seattle and face the twelfth man as well. Can the Broncos prove the doubters wrong and get their respect back? Can Manning find a way to defeat the NFL's No. 1 ranked defense? We'll have to watch week three to find out.
2. San Francisco 49ers at Denver Broncos
(Week 7, October 19)
This was almost the Super Bowl last season, but the Seahawks had different plans. This game brings two evenly matched teams into Denver with huge playoff implications. Peyton Manning or the 49ers defense? Which team will come out with a victory? It's not very likely we will see a blowout here. This should be a great matchup and willbe interesting to see how Manning does agianst the 49ers. Who knows, these two teams may face each other in February for a Super Bowl ring.
1. San Francisco 49ers Vs. Seattle Seahawks
(Week 13, November 27)
(Week 15, December 15)
Yes, both games. These teams absolutely hate each other on the field. This is by far the biggest rivalry in the NFL and both games are must watch for football fans. Last season, the Seahawks eliminated the 49ers from the playoffs in the NFC Championship game with a late tip by cornerback, Richard Sherman. The week 13 game will be played on Thanksgiving day at 8:30 Eastern time in San Francisco. All NFL eyes will be on that game. Just two weeks later, the teams will meet up again in Seattle for a rematch, most like to decide the NFC West crown heading into the playoffs.
