Premios TVyNovelas 2014 Recap: The Winners & What You May Have Missed
The Premios TVyNovelas were aired on Sunday night, but there's a lot you may have missed on the night dedicated to melodramas.
The show started off with a dance set to the theme songs of telenovelas, and Adrián Uribe brought his signature humor to open the show. Enrique Iglesias, Yuri and Mijares were also some of the performers of the night.
When Ana Martin went up to receive an award, she made sure people knew that she would take her time. "Even if they scold me, I am going to take my time," she said.
And it seems Ellen DeGeneres is still setting trends. The biggest names in telenovelas got together and posed for a "mega selfie" that featured Adrián Uribe, Sebastian Rulli and Marjorie de Sousa.
Eric del Castillo was honored for his work in telenovelas, and he was presented the award by his daughter, Verónica del Castillo. "Primer Impacto" was also honored for having been on the air for 20 years.
When Cynthia Klitbo was awarded the Best Female Co-star award, she accepted the trophy with tears in her eyes.
Alejandro Sanz was awarded for his theme song on "Amores Verdaderos," which is the show that also gave Erika Buenfil a trophy to take home. She was considered the best actress thanks to her role as Victoria Balvanera Gil de Brizz.
And "Amores Verdaderos" showed how impactful it was. It also won Best Telenovela.
The awards are chosen by a group of experts as well as the public. This award show recognized the work of those in 2013.
