Mexican telenovelas or soap operas have been part of the Mexican culture and family but some soap operas have its biggest failure when it was rerun or adapted.
For many immigrants who arrived in the United States with nothing, telenovelas allowed them to feel connected to the countries and cultures they had left behind.
While recording a scene of "Lo Que La Vida Me Robo", where Sebastian Rulli and Angelique Boyer's character share a love interest, Rulli had a small accident. As he held Angelique in his arms while running away from a massive fire, Rolli tripped on a rug, causing both actors to fall to the ground. Luckily, they were both far enough from the "fire" so they weren't seriously hurt. They walked away from the accident with minor cuts and bruises.
The Cuban-American former model and telenovela star William Levy is leaving the telenova scene and has set his sights on Hollywood films, he recently told People En Español. He's currently in post-production for the films Addicted and Single Mom's Clubs, and is still filming La Tempestad (The Tempest) in Mexico.
