A new set photo has suggested that Silver Banshee will be an important villain on the "Supergirl" and "The Flash" crossover.

Italia Ricci's Siobhan Smythe, also known as Silver Banshee, will first appear in the Melissa Benoist starrer. The character will grace the show's Feb. 22 episode, titled "Truth, Justice, and the American Way," as the new assistant of Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart).

A new behind-the-scenes snapshot, however, hinted that Silver Banshee will be retained in DC Comics' shared TV universe as far as the March 28 crossover. The photo posted on Twitter featured actor Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash) on set while a Silver Banshee in complete getup can be seen in the background.

Details about the two shows' crossover are still being kept under wraps, but The Flash will presumably be the one to go into Kara Danvers/Supergirl's world. The week prior to the March 28 crossover, "The Flash" will showcase another episode with its titular superhero traveling through time, which could lead to him ending up in another dimension: Supergirl's National City.

Last week, Gustin shared a photo of himself and Benoist on Instagram with the caption, "Those two emblems look pretty good together." The snapshot featured the two dressed in their respective superhero costumes.

"We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making 'Supergirl' -- The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up," the two shows' executive producers Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti said.

They continued, "We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros., and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support."

The upcoming episode of "Supergirl" will also feature the scientist, Dr. Alphonse Luzano (Todd Sherry), and the lethal Master Jailer (Jeff Branson).

The episode's official synopsis reads: "Supergirl does battle with the deadly Master Jailer (Jeff Branson), who is hunting and executing escaped Fort Rozz prisoners. Also, Cat hires a second assistant, Siobhan Smythe (Italia Ricci), who immediately tries to one-up Kara, and Kara and James disagree over the DEO's methods."

The new episode was directed by Lexi Alexander from a script penned by Yahlin Chang and Caitlin Parrish.
