'NCIS' Season 13, Episode 16 Spoilers: Dr. Taft Works on Gibbs' Suspect; DiNozzo's Exit Nears
Jon Cryer returns as Dr. Cyril Taft for the Season 13, episode 16 airing of "NCIS," where he is assigned surgical responsibility for Agent Jethro Gibbs' suspect, only to stumble across key evidence in an investigation.
Jeanne Benoit (Scottie Thompson) is set to return for the "Loose Cannons" entitled episode, where she receives a visit from ex Tony DiNozzo concerning his investigation of a group of doctors in Sudan.
One of the last remaining original cast members from the long-running series, DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) has already announced he will be leaving the cast at the end of the season and growing speculation is producers might decide him out of the show by having him sail off with is ex.
How Will DiNozzo be Written out?
Another potential plotline resulting in DiNozzo's departure could center on him rising within the ranks of the operation and leaving for another position in a different locale.
Meanwhile, show producers are also hard at work preparing for the series' upcoming 300th episode, set to air on March 1. The "After Hours" entitled episode will present fans with a different glimpse of all their favorite characters.
More specifically, the airing is expected to offer a snapshot of what life is like for many of the agents when they are away from the office or seeking clues in one of their intense investigations. Margo Harshman (Deliah) returns for the episode, and engages in a classic debate with McGee about the importance of not discussing work during dinner.
Taye Diggs Joining the Cast
Several media outlets have also reported Taye Diggs will be joining the cast to star in "After Hours." The veteran actor and Broadway star is set to play Marine Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Davis in an episode that will also require him to use his musical chops.
Davis, a sniper by trade, will meet the "NCIS" team while they're investigating a shooting where he was injured. Word is Diggs' show recovery will include "a cutting-edge music therapy program,"
