Last Grand Prize Winner Came Eight Weeks ago
A total of 25 drawings have now come and gone since anyone hit the jackpot, with the last grand prize winner coming on March 8, after a Washington man purchased a winning ticket at a 7-Eleven store in Seattle that earned him $157 million on a purchase of $5 worth of tickets.
After settling on the cash option, the man walked away with earnings of $102.8 million before taxes. The winning numbers for last Friday's drawing were 32, 54, 65, 66, 71 and the winning Powerball number was 71. The Megaplier number was 3x.
Back on May 31, two players matched all five white balls to walk away with prizes of $1 million each. The winning tickets (9, 31, 34, 41, 49) were purchased in Georgia and Texas.
Neither of those two winners played the Megaplier, which would have increased their winnings to $5 million. In addition, 29 ticket holders matched four white ball numbers with the mega ball for a prize of $5,000. Two of those winners had the Megaplier, bumping their winnings up to $25,000.
