Amanda Bynes Fire: Star's Parents Not Paying for Fire Damages
A new feud seems to be brewing due to Amanda Byne's questionable behavior. It seems that the troubled star's parents, Rick and Lynn, are refusing to pay for the damage caused by their daughter's actions after Bynes started a small fire at a house garage in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Early last week, Amanda was reportedly held under a 5150 involuntary hold by the Ventura County police after she allegedly caused a disturbance at the house's driveway. The former Nickelodeon star had apparently started a small fire in front of the residence owned by Bonnie Braaten.
Now, reports say that Bynes' parents, who recently requested for conservatorship over their daughter, is refusing to pay for the damages caused by Amanda to the house.
According to TMZ, Braaten turned down an offer from a neighbor to "power wash her driveway and clean up the mess from the fire," as she thinks Rick and Lynn should pay for the cleanup. However, Mr. and Mrs. Bynes aren't too happy about the idea. The report notes that the star's parents think "Amanda needs to pay for it."
But Radar Online says the Braatens never expected any form of payment from Amanda or her parents. According to the report, the troubled actress doesn't need to pay for anything.
"My mom never said Amanda's parents should pay for the damage," Bonnie's daughter told the website. "She doesn't feel that way. We never wanted to add to the parents problems and we never expected them to pay. We were going to take care of it ourselves."
Amanda's absurd actions have left the Braatens' Thousand Oaks-home with a tarnished driveway, but the report says the family just wants Amanda to get the help she needs.
"We hope she gets help. It's a sad situation for her entire family and we feel bad."
