Artemio Santiago, the lawyer who former "All That" star Amanda Bynes hired last October, says the actress owes him $16,000, but her parents and conservators insist she wasn't in a mental position to hire anyone at the time of her psychiatric meltdown.
After making headlines this week over an extension to a psych ward stay, Amanda Bynes is big news again on Wednesday after a court mandate that gave the "Easy A” actress’ parents conservatorship over their daughter once again.
Doctors are planning to place Bynes under a conservatorship that will keep her confined and medicated for up to one year. A source close to Amanda's case tells TMZ that she will be put under an LPS Hold, a type of confinement granted by a judge to doctors when a patient is "gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder or impairment by chronic alcoholism." The LPS Hold also means that the "What I Like About You" actress can be confined to a hospital or a secure facility that can and will medicate her against her will. Something her parents could not do under their conservatorship.
Amanda Bynes has made a drastic turnaround from the bizarre behavior she displayed in 2013. However, now that the actress seems to have made tremendous progress, she may be looking to take another big step in her life by moving out of her parents' home.
Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes took her life course on a dizzying descent toward mayhem last year, causing her to end up in an inpatient rehabilitation program while rumors about her antics and mental health status ran rampant. The starlet’s attorney Tamar Arminak spoke out to fans by way of an interview with People Magazine on Wednesday, after being asked by Bynes to “dispel certain rumors.”
Lynn Bynes, mother of troubled star Amanda Bynes, recently voiced her frustration over how the media had been handling her daughter's difficulties, reports People.
A new feud seems to be brewing due to Amanda Byne's questionable behavior. It seems that the troubled star's parents, Rick and Lynn, are refusing to pay for the damage caused by their daughter's actions after Bynes started a small fire at a house garage in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
After a week of drama and another police bust, Amanda Bynes' parents are taking matters into their own hands already. Reports reveal that the star's parents are seeking to take over Amanda's financial and personal affairs.
