Conservatives Should Make Immigration a Race Issue, Here's Why
Reports over the past years from the site Buzzfeed and American Affairs discussed how some business owners in America hire for jobs that are for low paying immigrant workers only. They post advertisements and require the agricultural and non-agricultural chances for guest workers, but are far from the job site.
They ask for Spanish speaking people even though the place is not located in a Hispanic area. They set strict requirements that Americans must meet, but they don't hire American workers.
These kinds of operations received multiple complaints from Legal Aid, legal briefs also filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and at least one representative case of federal imprisonment.
How does it affect Americans?
As Democrats and liberals continue to push for policies such as open borders and more lax immigration laws, they are in fact hindering many Americans that would otherwise have jobs if not for low-wage, immigrant workers.
In 2012, Derrick Green, a father of six was a victim of these practices. Green was hired by farming company, Hamilton Growers, only to be fired after only three weeks of picking squash.
His Hispanic counterparts were not. In that pattern, it was found that similar cases have been filed against Hamilton Growers.
According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the previous cases happened back in 2010 and 2011 when Hamilton Growers fired its American workers and retained only their immigrant workers.
Inordinate Cases in Immigration Harms Black Americans
Farm employers claim that they need low-wage immigrants to keep the cost of their businesses low, and thus their products affordable.
It is believed that the practices of these employers dramatically, and negatively, affects American workers especially the poorer ones that would otherwise be employed on these farms.
Research in 2016 by the National Academy of Sciences supports the idea and states that specific American workers have shown to be more vulnerable compared to immigrants when discussing job security.
The National Academy of Sciences also added a report that confirmed that nine of the filed cases affected Americans with low levels of education.
America will always have racial political issues and that in itsself greatly affects black workers, but to think that allowing illegal and undocumented immigrants to hold jobs is damning to say the least.
In fact, cases from 2010 associated with J&R Baker Farms saw two dozen black Americans file a lawsuit against their employer.
Hamilton growers also fired most of their black workers. A supervisor in Hamilton Growers reportedly cussed in front of his employees saying that black Americans must go to their office, pick up the check and leave the [expletive] company.
Most blacks are definitely affected with this kind of situation and it's because the majority of blacks are compared and closely identified as Americans with a sub-standard quality of education. Patrick Ruffini, a republican pollster, also conveyed that when it comes to working class minorities, 70 percent don't have a college degree. And the best way for Republicans to adapt to how America is expanding nowadays is that employers must give the entire working class a chance, not just the low-wage ones.
Immigration as the First Step
Decades of mismanagements has made Americans invest too much thought into race rather than character, resulting in racial discrimination. People must wisely choose their own battles and the people must know who to vote for and who to vote out.
Objections to low wage immigrant workers will further illuminte how conservatives want the future to be. This may be used as well to garner the black vote as conservative politicians and voters choose to place legal, law abiding American citizens first, regardless of color or origin.
The Border and Race Is an Issue As Well As Skin Color
Democrats do not seem to know just how many blacks oppose low-wage immigration. Liberals want to open all the borders, and that leaves blacks with only one clear option, vote them out.
Leftists assume that black people only care about issues such as police brutality, wars, and reparations. More blacks are concerned with being deprived of work opportunities. But the low pay immigration dramatically affects the lives of blacks and this is a big issue in their economic stand. People must make a connection.
Fighting for Black Americans' Jobs
Racial discrimination will always be recognized as a world-wide problem for all civilizations, which is caused by ingnorant, closed-minded, and sometimes fearful people. As Black Americans fight for their rights to achieve their economic status they believed that fighting racism and discrimination will also be a part of their struggle in this battle.
The point in here is not to argue but to prioritize black Americans as well and not just fight for jobs but to help them fight against discrimination.
